The school year for Newport High School’s Orchestras is coming to a close and we are starting to think ahead to the coming year! FONO (Friends of Newport Orchestra) is the parent booster organization for the Orchestras.  We provide valuable support to the orchestra program, including financial assistance for professional music coaches, instrument replacement, orchestra social events and entrance fees for competitions such as the one held in Gresham, Oregon.

We invite you to become an active member and help the Director, Nancie Linn Shaw, and your students take their music to new heights. You are welcome to come to the next FONO meeting on May 19 to get acquainted and see how you can get involved.  We will meet in the Orchestra room at 7:00 pm.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS  The final concert of the year will be held on Wednesday, June 3^rd.  Please note that the time has changed:  the concert will begin at 7:00 pm.  Please mark your calendar!
